WHO WE ARE
Clean4Change began with our founders, Katelyn Johnston and Shayla Roberts-Long, passionate to address climate change during their junior year at Assumption High School in Louisville, KY. Since 2020, Clean4Change has grown from a small park cleanup organization to an IRS recognized 501(c)(3), still run by our original founders.
Clean4Change has members currently active in Louisville, Lexington, Berea, and Bowling Green, KY. Clean4Change continuously provides opportunities for people of all ages to address the climate crisis. We are always looking for new members, and everyone is welcome. Our team is mostly college students but we would love to have high school students and anyone else join us! Join Clean4Change to build community around climate and ignite joy in a movement that is often joyless.

Our Mission
Clean4Change creates a joyful community around climate justice work that empowers and supports Kentuckians to take action to address the climate crisis.
Our Vision
We have a vision of a strong network of climate justice advocates all over Kentucky, working together to harness their collective power to help others and affect real change for climate. We want to create a dialogue around the environment that is inclusive and kind to all and rejects the narrative that individuals are responsible for the climate crisis.
Diversity Statement
As a group that believes in a just transition, we commit to diversity. We value diverse perspectives to our world's pressing issues. Because we all breathe the same air, climate injustice anywhere means climate injustice everywhere.
Working together, we can build a future of inclusivity.
