Park cleanups
Park cleanups are one of the many ways we connect with the communities we care so much about. Parks are a safe space for people of all ages, and we want to make sure they are taken care of. Every piece of litter we clean up, we separate to be recycled or trashed. Recycling what we can makes an even bigger impact than just getting it out of our parks. These are the park cleanups we've hosted so far!

Virtual Park cleanups
Our first park cleanup ever was virtual! This was a COVID-safe option where everyone picked up at least one bag worth of garbage around their neighborhood and sent in a photo to us to be entered to win a door prize. We were also able to count this action as service hours for high school students! We had two lucky winners for our door prizes who won a 4Ocean bracelet from us! We have had a lot of success with these events with around 50 bags of trash recycled.

McNeely Lake Park cleanup
Our first in-person park cleanup happened in 2020 at McNeely Lake Park. We had multiple people come out to pick up trash with us and our team stayed from 10-6! We had about 6 tubs of trash afterward that we were able to recycle.

Big Rock cleanup
Our second in-person park cleanup happened on June 13th, 2021. We had such a great success at McNeely Lake, we decided to do another cleanup. This one was at Big Rock/Cherokee Park, and it was another success. We provided supplies for anyone at the park who wanted to participate, as well as some snacks!
